That was a great read, the cypher in the van story is one of my favorites. If we only had footage of prime Nas and L rapping together.

Yeah I thought I'd do something different for this February 15th, a tribute dedication from someone he knew in '99, written a few days after the fact. The article has been transcribed online here and elsewhere for a while but I just got a copy of the source material sometime last year. (Thanks for checkin' it man, it wasn't anything super special this time around but I have a few potential ideas for May 30th at least.)

Yeah, man, it's actually great stuff. I love when you get a scanned version, with the text written in a newspaper or magazine format, much more interesting than just a transcription. And thanks for still contributing after all these years, I'm looking forward to that May 30th.

Agreed, the format and pictures (even ones seen before) add to the context and historical value. For sure man, if I have something to give, you know I'll share it if at all possible. I'm always on the look out for the next thing as well. Somebody has to hold it down for Uptown.
